Hi Jon,
Over the past couple weeks we’ve been implementing iBiz into our agency. The program has many functions that of great use to us. Below are some requests and observations, if any of this is currently possible please advice.
Requests And Observations
(01) More filtering options for reports. Date filtering is helpful but at a minimum we need to be able to filter by Job Event Names. What we would really like is to be able to select filter criteria, similar to how Smart Account filters work in iBank.
(02) Would like to be able to assign Work Job Events to POs, in a similar way as they are assigned to Invoices, for purposes of budget and expense tracking. PO number should be unique.
(03) Noticed that iBiz numbers Estimates by sharing the next available Invoice number. Would prefer numbering to be unique or not at all.
(04) We are in need of tags specifically related to Estimates.
(05) In iBiz Pro client users can write Todo's to the server but the "Assigned To" field is not available. Is this a bug, if not this is a feature we would like to see in a future build.
(06) Placing a Job Event Group inside of another Job Event Group seems to cause problems. Is this a bug or functionality that does not yet exist. If it is the later, it would be a helpful feature in an upcoming build.
(07) Clients users pull Job Events from the server. Due to the fact that some of our Job Events have the same name but different notes it would be helpful to have a rollover feature that reveals the notes inside each Job Event.
Thanks,
Christian

Thanks for your feedback, we definitely appreciate your input. I've noted your requests and have comments on a few items:
(04) All of the standard invoice tags should apply to estimates as well. What additional tags are you in need of?
(05) I think this was an oversight - assuming your clients have permission to edit to do items, you can Option-double-click the "Assigned To" field to edit it. I'll file a bug report to have this field added to the pop-up editor.
(06) You shouldn't be allowed to place a group inside a group - how did you do that?

Hi Jon,
Thanks you for responding to our post.
(04) We are trying to run a report that shows Non-Billables against an Estimate total. Secondly we are in need of having the Estimate date pulled into Invoices.
(06) The Master Group was location on the iBiz server Job Events and when added from a iBiz client it allowed you to add a job event group within another. Thats how we did it and this is something we would like to have.
Thanks for you help!

I'll be glad to note your requests to show these estimate details on invoices. I confirmed what you said about job event groups created from custom events that are shared from the server - I set one up and was able to put one group inside another. This shouldn't be possible, so I filed a bug report, and I have also noted your request to be able to nest groups properly.
