Investment account question

Postby vandy » Mon Feb 08, 2010 8:11 pm

I just purchased IBank3 after using Quicken for many years. I wanted to start new on some Fidelity investment accounts so I set them up in IBank and downloaded from the Fidelity site. The problem is it did not download my securities so I can track them and the total value of this account does not match the online amount. What should I do? Should I start over and manually enter everything. That would take some time.

Most financial institutions only allow you to direct download recent transactions back to a certain date. To get the full account history, you'll need to visit the institution's website and download the transactions in OFX or QIF format, then import that file into iBank. Once you've done that, you can use direct downloads to update your account on a regular basis. I hope this helps!
