I finally gave up on iBank after trying to get a reasonable transaction report out of it. IBanks graph based system is no match for Quickens ability to give good full featured reports. If this is important to you, you might want to look elsewhere. I'm very sorry to have reached this conclusion. I am not a Quicken lover and have used it for almost 20 years just because I couldn't find anything better. It's full of minor bugs and Intuit has proven it doesn't give a damn about it's Mac users.
I purchased iBank about 6 months ago. Imagine my surprise, when after downloading the last 6 months into Quicken, I found 4 bank transactions that were never downloaded into iBank. I went back and tried to get iBank to download these forgotten items, but it just couldn't find them. If I had been a little better about reconciling my account at the end of each month, I would have found it sooner, but I relied on the fact that I was getting all my info into the account via the download feature. I can't imagine what might cause this, but if your using iBank, you might want to be sure and do your monthly reconciliations.

Re: Downloading Transactions Problem
Hi Rich,
Sorry to hear iBank didn't work out for you. We've heard the same from many people, and there will be an emphasis on better reporting in our next major version. In the meantime, some of our customers have used our export to CSV feature to work with transaction data in an external software such as Excel.
It's hard to say what may have caused those transactions to be missed. I'd definitely recommend contacting our support department about it and I'm sure we'd be able to track the issue down.
In any case, thanks for the feedback! We hope you'll have another look at iBank at some point in the future.
