did anyone test drive these together? I'm running the trials now, and they seem very similar. I'd like to hear your thoughts on both. i don't want to purchase both, and my YNAB trial runs out tomorrow - 7 days isn't very much. what finally made you buy iBank?
I'm looking to track categories, taxables, basic budget stuff. probably won't go as far as investments or net worth kind of thing - just day to day spending so I can see over the months and year where it all goes.
thanks!

Re: how does iBank compare with YNAB?
Hi Susan,
I realize this is a bit late, hopefully you haven't made your decision quite yet. YNAB has a number of good features, and it's strongly geared toward budgeting. IBank's strength comes in part from our interpretive tools. Smart accounts and our robust category-driven charting engine help you really see what's important about your finances, and budgeting is another facet of that.
iBank is built, from the ground up, as a Mac application. If you can use iTunes, you'll feel comfortable getting around in iBank. Over time, you'll appreciate how Apple's system of interface conventions and shortcuts makes your data entry and navigation easier in iBank too. YNAB is not a native Mac program, and you probably won't find it quite as Mac-like and easy too use as iBank. This might not seem important during a brief evaluation, but it really makes a difference.
One of the things people love about iBank is our knowledgeable and free technical support, which is available to you before and after you buy. All our support technicians are expert users, and we'll do everything we can to help you get the most out of iBank. Please contact us at support@iggsoftware.com with any specific questions as you compare iBank with YNAB.
